2006 National Planning Meeting - Elections

The morning of Thursday, December 28, 2006 the following National Officers have been elected for the 2007 year. Please check back often for updates. They are as follows:

National OA Officers

2007 National OA Chief

Evan Chaffee

Evan, who turned 19 today, hails from Wiatava Lodge #13, of the Orange County Council, and is a Vigil Honor member. Evan was inducted in the Order May of 2000 at Lost Valley Scout Reservation and later earned his Eagle in 2005. His past positions include Chapter Activites VC, Chapter Chief in 2004, Lodge Activities Vice Chief, Lodge Conclave Contingent Leader, Lodge Chief in 2006, and is a part of the National OA Shows group. Evan staffed on the OA service corps at the 2005 National Jamboree. Evan has taken part in OA high adventure programs the past few years and was a foreman for the Order of the Arrow Trail Crew program at Philmont last Summer. Evan attended the National Leadership Seminar in 2004 in Phoenix, AZ. Evan is the current OA High Adventure Chairman for the Western Region.

Today, Evan attends Saddleback College and is majoring in Business. Evan is a member of Troop 702 in San Juan Capistrano, CA and is also a member in the nationally renowned Sea Scout Ship of Del Mar 711, Newport Beach, CA.

2007 National OA Vice Chief

Larry Newton

Larry, 19, is a Vigil Honor Member of Alibamu Lodge of Alibamu Council and an Eagle Scout. He is the S-4N Section Chief. Larry is a Sophomore at Huntington College majoring in History and Political Science.

Region Chiefs

2007 Western Region Chief

Chad Wolver, Section W-4C

Chad is Section W-4C Chief and is a Vigil member of Wipala-Wiki where he served as Lodge Chief. He attends Arizona State University and is studying Journalism and Mass Communication as well as Economics and Business. Chad has trained at multiple NLS events and has served as a trainer at NOAC. He served the Western Region as the Events Promotions Chairman. His commitment to the Western Region and to the Order will surely maintain the standards of achievement we have seen in past years. West is Best!

2007 Northeast Region Chief

Ken Hager, Section NE-4B

Ken is an Eagle Scout from Troop 610 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and is always found doing something that involves Scouting. Currently, Ken is the Section NE-4B Chief in his second term, just following his two-year term as Lodge Chief of Wagion Lodge #6. Recently in his home lodge, Ken was presented with the "Thunderbird Award", being only the 102 person to ever receive the honor. He has attended the past two NOACs and was a member of the 2006 NOAC Shows Staff at Michigan State University. Ken hopes to some day become a schoolteacher in his hometown, and will be working towards that goal at California University of Pennsylvania in the fall.

2007 Southern Region Chief

Alex Gomez, Section S-4S

Alex is Section S-4S Chief from O-Shot-Caw Lodge of South Florida Council. He is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor, and is a Sophomore at Florida State University majoring in History and Political Science.

2007 Central Region Chief

Don Hough, Section C-3B

Don, age 18, is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member from Lakota Lodge in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Don is majoring in Education at Harper College in Palatine, IL. He is the C-3B Section Chief and has previously served as Lodge Chief and Section Secertary.
